Bimat Eye Drops are prescribed to lower elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who cannot tolerate other intraocular pressure-lowering treatments or have not responded adequately to another such medication.

In addition to helping patients with glaucoma, Bimat Eye Drops can also benefit individuals with hypotrichosis of the eyelashes, as their application on the eyelashes promotes growth and thickness.

Bimat Eye Drops have been observed to alter pigmented tissues. These observations include increased pigmentation and growth of eyelashes, along with heightened pigmentation of the iris and periorbital area. Such changes may be permanent.

The suggested dosage is one drop into the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening. The dose of Bimat Eye Drops should not exceed once daily, as more frequent use may diminish the effectiveness of lowering intraocular pressure.

Potential side effects are generally mild and considered safe, including eye irritation, burning, stinging, redness, dryness, watering, along with heightened sensitivity to light and discoloration of the iris. If any of these side effects persist, worsen, become bothersome, or raise concerns, promptly contact your health care provider.

If you experience any of the following, inform your health care provider without delay: changes in your vision, eye pain, swollen eyelids, or red eyelids.
